Children at Easebourne enjoy a broad, rich curriculum. In addition to knowing more and remembering more, we encourage our pupils to develop the personal skills set out in the 7C's: confidence, commitment, curiosity, creativity, communication, craftsmanship and collaboration and this is how we celebrate success.
We are incredibly lucky to have a spacious school building and grounds, which include a wonderful library at the heart of our school. We have large classrooms, a music room, a fitted kitchen for children’s DT and two large halls; one for sport and one for daily collective worship, lunch and school performances. Our ELSA's and Play Therapists have dedicated space and we have a a Nurture Room.
Outside, our grounds are extensive, with a large playground and a very generous grassed area. There is a pond, an orchard, an area for our chickens beyond the playground and a willow labyrinth. There are three Level 3 Forest School Leaders on the staff and we have our own Forest School on site.
Easebourne Nursery is situated next to our Dragonflies (Reception class) ensuring a truly connected Early Years Foundation Stage.
Our school is very much about the community. We passionately believe in the partnership between children, staff, parents and governors. We also work hard to build strong relationships with the wider community. We are a Church of England school; our broad and balanced education is underpinned by strong Christian values and our vicar, Derek Welsman, is a long-standing school governor. In recognition of the school’s strong historic relationship with the Cowdray Estate, Lord Cowdray became the school’s patron a few years ago and sponsors one of our two minibuses which proudly bears the Cowdray logo.
